Term 4 Reflections

This is my Term 4 Reflections and it includes what I enjoyed, what I have learnt, what I found interesting, what I have improved on, and my evaluation. It's just surprising how I've changed a lot over the years and I've became more confident.

Blobfish Comics

For reading we had to make comics and me and Fariha decided to make comics about blobfishes! If you don't know what blobifhses are then what are you doing with your life right now? Just kidding! Search up 'blobfish' and you screen will be blessed!

Myths and Legends

Our new topic was Myths and Legends and for each reading group we had a god, for our reading group we had Tawhirimatea which is the god of the wind, me, Sarah, Fariha, Sakshi were in a group of 3 and we made a presentation about Tawhirimatea and added some facts about him and much more!

How to count to 20 in chinese

We made a presentation of how to count to 10-20 in our language, I did Chinese, because I speak Chinese.

Tuvalu

For reading we got to learn about the Tuvalu culture and me, Sarah, and Fariha got into a group of 3 and made a presentation about Tuvalu, here's what we found out about Tuvalu!

Narrative Writing

The Great Rescue (Maybe)
It was a glorious sunny Wednesday morning, what Biqi, Kirsten, Kate, Fariha, Sakshi, Ridhi, and Kaia would expect. This was an exciting event, now you haven’t seen what's gonna happen next! The girls changed out of their pyjamas and ran up to get some breakfast, they were all running out in a flash. They could smell the strong smell of the waffles, and the creamy maple syrup. They all looked at the waffles in awe and Fariha looked like she was gonna snatch every single waffle and stuff them into her mouth, her eyes were big. They went to meet up with all the other people camping. “Now for today you all are going to go on a Popsicle stick hunt, you have to get into groups then you’re gonna go find some popsicle sticks and they have to be your groups color, and the group with the most is going to get a prize.” Said Mrs P. “Well that sounds fun!” Biqi said with excitement. “We’re all gonna be in a group, agreed?” Kirsten said after. “Agreed!” Everybody shouted. And so they ran out onto the field. “We’re gonna have to split up, me, Biqi, and Fariha are together, and Kate, Sakshi, Ridhi, and Kaia are together, is that ok?” Fariha said. “Yep” Ridhi agreed. So they split up and started searching as quick as possible. After a few minutes of searching, Fariha started dancing like a crazy chicken who just won the lotto she kept on dancing and dancing. “She’s a crazy woman” Biqi whispered to Kirsten. Then.. she fell, “BAHAHHAAAHAHAH” Kirsten laughed so hard she couldn’t catch her breath. “Let's go check if she's ok rather than laugh your head off 😂” Biqi said as she and Kirsten ran up the hill. “HELPP!!” Fariha shouted. “OH MY GOSH! SHE’S MIGHT’VE FELL OFF A CLIFF!!” Biqi shouted with a shock. “Well what are you waiting for? We gotta save this crazy chicken!!” Kirsten as she started to burst out laughing again. “First lets call the others! We might need some backups.” Biqi said. They started calling the others names and they got up to us. “What happened?” Ridhi said. “The CRAZY CHICKEN fell off a cliff!” Sakshi and Kirsten said as they started to burst out laughing. “And who's the CRAZY CHICKEN? Kaia was about to burst out laughing like Kirsten and Sakshi were. They all ran up to the edge of the hill to check out Fariha. “HALPPPPP!!” Fariha kept on yelling for help. “WHERE ARE YOUUUUUU” Ridhi shouted while she started searching for Fariha. “A parachute would be helpful wouldn’t it? Kate said. “True, we’ll use my parachute because I thought it would come in handy” Kaia said as she grabbed a colorful parachute. “WHEREVER YOU ARE GRAB ONTO THE PARACHUTE OK?? OK!” Ridhi yelled as Kirsten did a face palm “You don’t have to yell Ridhi!!” They all got on their knees on the edge of the cliff “SURPRISE!” Fariha shouted. “AH!” Everybody was in shock. “You scared us!!” Biqi said frightened. “I just wanted to see how you would react!!” Fariha said giggling. “Well that gave us a fright!” Ridhi said. “OK guys let's quickly find some coloured Popsicle sticks other than keep on talking” Kate demanded. The end. :)

We learned how to use QR Codes to link our work. You can download an app called QR Code Scanner. On any device, android, or apple device. And if you run your scanner over it, it will take you straight to the URL. See where this QR Code takes you.

Nursery Rhymes

For reading we had to make a slide about facts about Nursery Rhymes, we also made a Tagul about words based on Nursery Rhymes. And you also had to put in some popular Nursery Rhymes.

Scavenger Hunt

Me and Marica did a scavenger hunt made by our teacher Mrs P, then we had to make our own scavenger hunt. Feel free to try out me and Marica's scavenger hunt right here!

Poha

In reading me and Marica read a journal about Poha, and made a slide about it, and answered the questions about Poha.

Our Ears

In room 4 we have been learning about the ears and made a slide and did some research. I learnt that we have ear wax to fight off infection.

3 Way Conferences

Everybody in room 4 had to make an 3 way conferences slide and in it, we had to put our reading goals slide, maths goals slide, and writing goals slide. On the first slide I have an picture of me made by Avachar.

THE DUEL

In reading we made a poster on Piktochart about THE DUEL The Inventors Awaken. This is made by me.

Soap Prezi

In reading we made a Prezi about Soap. This is mine.

Biqi, Rebecca, and Maricas Sign Language

It was sign language week so in room 4 we got in a group and practised our sign language and then recorded it. Me, Rebecca, and Marica made a video about our Sign Language.

Checklist

Me and my group Fariha, and John created a Checklist for Time Management so we can finish stuff in time.

Anzac Biscuit Recipe

I made a ANZAC biscuit recipe using Piktochart. I've had fun because this is my first time using Piktochart.

Have A Go Day

Yesterday we had a Have A Go Day, I'm not much of a sporty person but oh well. We played Ripper Rugby, Football, Handball, Ultimate Frisbee and Turbo Touch! It was so fun!

Fact File: Christchurch

For homework this week we made a fact file about any city in New Zealand, I did Christchurch.

Time Management

In maths we have been learning about Google Maps and how we can use it. I learnt that Google Maps is very useful and can take you to your destination. We learnt about First European Settlers, we also learnt that Abel Tasman first discovered New Zealand in 1642 and Captain James Cook was the first to step foot on it. This is by me and Fariha's.
